Trailer light question

What are these holes for?

Just wondering about automatic power folding mirrors on new 2500’s. Am thinking about buying one. I live in the middle of nowhere. I don’t park where it’s crowded and I like to see behind me when the engine is off. Do these new models have a way to delete the automatic mirror fold function when parked with the engine off?
Sure would hope so.
Thanks
R

The mirrors on my 2024 only fold/unfold when told to do so.

Yep, that is correct.

Even passenger cars are like that. You have the option of auto fold or keep them open all the time. I had to help a friend out with his new car a few weeks ago.

You just need to find the settings in the plethora of menus.

Thanks.
And another question. About Bid Horn and Tradesman models.
Does the wiring harness under the drivers seat have the connector for power seats even on models that did not come equipped with power seats?

Very unlikely as they make a matching harness for every single vehicle produced nowadays.

If you want the goodies like an informative dash or good headlights instead of candles, comfy seats or everything else - buy the truck that has it. It is very complicated and expensive to add them later if even possible.

Tradesman is a really bare naked work truck and misses almost everything that a driver nowadays expect to be standard equipment.

I love my 2016 Tradesman... its got cruise, tilt, cloth seats, chrome package, backup camera, electric mirrors, electric locks and windows and most Tradesmans are the same now. .. and none of the BS I dislike in newer vehicles... you know, a TV set in the dash, and bling. bling, bling bling.

A lot of these goodies are options that have to be ordered that way and paid for.
And just a couple of them drives the end price over that of Big Horn.
We discussed that topic often here in the last few years.

A Tradesman is good if you keep it simple, as soon as you start to add goodies the Big Horn is the better buy.

the reason you get a Tradesman is so you dont have the"goodies". I dont want a TV set in my dash. LOL.

I think my truck was 5k less than a SLT and 10k less than a Bighorn when I bought it
they don't have the SLT anymore, so that changed. They also have those standard convenience.
I thought I still had the window sticker, was going to post a pic, but I can't produce it.
the few extras on my truck are part of two packages, aka a convenience group and the chrome group.
I remember they were each 500 dollars.. assume the tilt, cruise etc were all part of the 500 dollar convenience group.
