A few years back I installed an Autometer Pryo. It never worked correctly, but I blamed my install, and because it is in a motorhome I didn't put on too many miles(trying to change that). After searching grounds, larger wires, direct connection to battery etc. I finally contacted Autometer and asked for suggestions. I figured I had waited too long for it to be their problem.

Their response was to immediatly send me a replacement probe. Haven't installed it yet but I have to admit they look good to me as a company at this point.

There are some good companies left out there.

I had the same thing happen with Ruger(clip not feeding) and Tasco (no power on a red-dot).

Not the same type of stuff but free replacement none-the-less.

Good to know.

Jgolden,

I'm with you on Autometer. A couple of years ago I installed Diesel Tach #2888 and for the life of me I couldn't get a reading from the probe. I tried every possible position on the alternator and couldn't get a pick up signal. I called Autometer and the technical rep sent me another probe right away.

Aloha,

Matt
