I have a banks pyro and it doesnt seem to work at all I havent towed yet but it never even seems to move. It stays at 300f. I called banks and never did get a hold a tech person! For the price of a thermocouple I think I might as well just get an autometer ultralite probably look better anyway. What is a normal reading?

i just installed autometer white face phantoms and my pyro goes to zero at key off. i ran a light circuit and a separte 12v/grnd circuit that is keyed off/on. hmmmm guages

with my auto transmission, not towing, and my pyro is before the turbo. .

at idle 300 - 350, moving slowly in traffic around 400-500, passing someone at about average pass, ~ 800, jack rabbit starts and pushing the little rice burners around, ~1,000. Light on the pedal but slowing gaining speed, about 600.

And it goes up quick from idle to 1,000 when your heavy on the foot.

It will also cool down quick from 1,000 to 400 when coasting down in speed.

Quick as in seconds.

It's normal for it not to return to zero when shut down, I went through this issue 4 yrs ago with mine, talked to AM they said no worries. It has worked fine ever since.
