Walter,

Today is your lucky day!!!!

You said you are using AUTOMETER sport-comp style gauges and you would like to have a pyrometer to match. Ok, the fine folks at SUMMIT RACING have just what you need. It's a 2 1/16 electrical gauge autometer sport-comp, the part number

ATM-3344 0-1600 degrees includes probe and 8' wire $125. 69.

As far as where to mount the probe? Most feel it is best mounted pre-turbo. So on your exhaust manifold, just before the flange that mounts the turbo, you will have to dill a hole, centered on the manifold, then tap it. It is very easy to do, the manifold is cast. Just get the proper size dill bit, and just before you go thru, dip the end in grease, this will help catch most of the shavings. Then with the proper size tap (some are 1/4 npt, usually autometer is 1/8 npt) tap it out, you can do the grease thing, and it will catch most shavings. Then take a very small magnet (the kind that you carry in a shirt pocket, and it pulls out to extend) and reach down it the manifold to remove any shavings. Now just apply some ati-size compound to the probe threads, and tighten, route wires, hook up guage, you are done. Good luck
