Nick, keep in mind that a vacuum type vortex is created in the back of the truck. Therefore, if you have exhaust exiting straight back like that, it's going to pour soot all over your tailgate, and rear bumper... You have a cool idea, but this will be the result.

So you have no step bumper? It sounds like you can use the exhaust holes to step up from in the near future.

I still like Matts idea of the ram horns!

Side pipes are awesome. We just got done putting 96" chrome 5" sidepipes on my brothers '01. If the weather pemits I get some pictures tomorrow. It sounds like a combination semi-truck, pulling truck. It's great, you can smoke two imports at once. :D

Someone was fabricating some nerf steps a while back and I suggested side pipes that doubled as a nerf step. You wouldn't ever have to worry about snow and ice on them after you drive a little! NCovey, I'd like to see a pic of the 5" side pipes on your brother's truck.

Yeah, but you better not step out after a good hard uphill pull.....

Hey all, I got a couple of pictures taken of the sidepipes. My camera isn't too great, so the pictures are kinda crummy. #ad

XcumminsX dont you ever feel like an idiot when everyone rags on your wierd project ideas?? I mean you put your truck on a diet by stripping all the options you paid for, and your stacks look stupid a foot away from the cab for your racky dealy... . And now you have a huge drain hole in the bed..... Just install the "super gay" flappers and forget about it. .

Logan what is it to you what he does to his truck?

That is by far the stupidest idea he has had since the truck diet..... What a waste of money/resources/time... ... ...

Logan, while your viewpoint is funny, and probably shared by many, I think a lot of us around here don't ask why people make certain mods to their truck, we just respect their choice. I personally think this exhaust idea is about as far from 'awesome' as you could get, however I think xcx can destroy his truck however he likes =]
