just recently I had a DD3600 installed and traction bars from dunks performance. I had a FE clutch prior and I tell you its night and day diff on backing up. pedal pressure is like butter now compared to the FE. my traction bars are bushing style and have a life time warranty with dunks performance if they ever break bend whatever. they also use a flip kit to change the u-bolts like 3rd gen and use 3/4 u-bolts. I'm not talking bad about other brands I just found these to be affordable and good for what I needed and close to my house.

Dunks Performance

on my truck.

With my truck, the issue is the new Valair clutch that I had installed, you have to try to slip it some to prevent the bucking at slow speeds whether I'm running empty or pulling my fifth wheel.

so I assume its a single disk. like my past problem with a real grabby single disk. mine smoothed clear up with the southbend DD clutch. even when I put the traction bars on I still had this chug chug feel. on my truck it was the clutch. to grabby. good to go now

What roll do you guys think the rear shocks plan in wheel hop? does it make sense that if the shocks are worn out wheel hop will be worse???

Check your middle ujoint in the rear shaft to rule it out....(drop one end of shaft out so you can move the joint by hand) you may find it is very tight on one side of cross.

By the way this is a very old thread:)
