Hi Mike, welcome to Arizona!

I live in Snowflake, so a monthly would be tough, however a quarterly would be no problem so add me to your list.

I would also be glad to host a get together during the summer when the Valley gets so hot. I have a couple of camper hook ups and a 40ft Park model that would sleep several people. It is not fancy but it is clean. I live in the country with room for unlimited parking space. In fact you or anyone else that would like to get out of the heat this summer is more than welcome to stop in for the weekend to cool off. Plus my wife is a good cook!

Hey Steve, sorry about the other night, call me anytime you want to talk.

This could be a fun get together if we can make it a reality. TravisG, tried to send you a PM, your box was full. I'll be up in Canada next week, but around after that. This next month is pretty busy too with rannies for me.

I've been busy too . I'm either working or on call. And when it doesn't rain I'm trying to finish my rock buggy. Will get in touch soon about a P-pump conversion. Steve

sounds like a plan to me!! I'm up in the prescott area but hey my cummins will roll... ... ... ... getrag maybe not for a couple weeks yet. !!!! :{ popping out of 2+5???? Time for an NV4500!!! any takers on helping with that one?

Wow! This is great! Sounds like there is alot of interest. I would be more than happy to be the facilitator of these events. We can use the event calendar that is on this website to communicate the dates, times, and locations. For our first meet, we should all just hang out, she each others trucks, and get to know everyone. Maybe after that we can have scheduled meets with agendas. For example: If one us wanted to do tweaks, or something big like an auto to manual conversion, we can schedule a place and time for it. Of course, we will be looking for volunteers to offer a location with tools or what ever maybe needed.

So for the first meet, where do you think we should go? Again, I am new to the area so I apologize for not offering any good suggestions. I was thinking of a spot where we could all park our trucks and get a cup of coffee. Something like starbucks? Or something similar? Please post your suggestions…

Also, for all that are interested in this event, could you please send me an e-mail at moyle@wertech.com with your full name, address, and phone number? I want to put together a list of everyone so I can see how many people are coming and also to be able to contact everyone in the event of a cancellation. This is a great chance to meet a good group of people and provide knowledge sharing for all. I am looking forward to this! Hope we can pull it together. We should post this to the other forums to invite the 2nd and 3rd genners as well.

AZ.,1st, 2nd & 3rd Gen. Friends

Hi, All.

I'd, really, appreciate being included in these events.

Seems, at this time, like we have interest from Northern to Southern parts of AZ. Sounds like quite a few members in the Tucson area. I wonder if a meeting place in the southern part of the Phoenix valley (Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, area) might be the most fair for all of those that have to drive greater distances.

I wonder if a Dodge dealership might be interested in "sponsoring" something like this? I know that Lou Grubb Dodge in NW Phoenix, sponsors certain Mopar events, each year, by letting clubs use their large parking lot. The only problem with them is they are in the north part of Phoenix (I-17 & Bell Rd. ). Quite a drive for those from the Southern part of the state.

I thought about Tempe Dodge but, they don't have very much parking. There, also, may be a good reason why a Dodge dealership is NOT a good idea. Any ideas, please chime in!

If you wanted to have this in between Pnx. and Tuc. , there is a Pilot(?) Truckstop in Eloy, AZ, So. Sunshine Blvd. , East side of I-10. The Flying-J is across the freeway (west side). I've been there twice, now, and they seem to have a pretty good sized parking lot and a store for beverages and snacks. I know this won't work too well for the "up-north" people but, it's just a suggestion in the event there isn't much interest from those folks. Feel free to "FLAME ME" for that idea, if you want to. I've got my "asbestos briefs" on!!!

Let's keep this going!!! I'm willing to help.

Just another thought, or two.

I think "all" Dodge/Cummins (1st, 2nd & 3rd Genners) would like to be included in this.

What do you think about "all Diesels"??? Again, FLAME ME if you want!!!

What about all the folks at the "other site", DieselTruckResource.com???

Seems to me that there was some interest in something like this, over there.

Just thinking out loud.

Joe F. (Buffalo)

PS: Maybe keeping this thing "just" a Dodge/Cummins event, for starters, would be best. What do you think???

I think i saw BVanetten on McDowell road today. Sweet looking Chevy.

I am definitely in for a meeting anywhere anytime, as long as I am in town.

Hey Guys,

I'm going to be out of town next week, so I was thinking of setting our first meeting for 3/12 or 3/13. Let's workout a date and then go from there. Let me know...

Pilot Truck Stop in Eloy, AZ.

Hi All,

I just got off the phone with Dave, the Manager, at the Pilot Truck Stop, off the Sunshine Blvd. and I-10 in Eloy, AZ.

He has a nice sized parking lot with a Subway and Chester's Chicken restaurants, inside. Needless to say, they sell diesel, also!

He said that we would be welcome to have our get-to-gether on his property.

Just thought I'd pass this on if you folks are interested.

Thanks.

Joe F. (Buffalo)

This is perfect! Thanks Joe! As of right now, let's say Sat 3/12 at 3pm at the Pilot Truck stop in Elroy, AZ. The location can be found at the following link:

For all those interested, please post to this thread if you are coming. I can say that Buffalo and myself are going as of now. If we can at least get 5-6 people to attend, then it is a go! So please post and let me know if you are coming. One day prior to the event, I will post all the people who are coming. Hope we can make this a go! - Mike

I just notified the folks at the Diesel Truck Resource website of the plans. Hope everyone can come.

By the way, the Exit number is 208, off of I-10. Looking at the map, it looks like a good halfway point between Tucson and Phoenix, which, is where most of the people, probably, will be coming from. It seemed fair, to me. If anyone has a better idea, please let us know.

so is this a dinner meeting? beer involved? or meet and greet? count me in--whatever it is. looks like ill have to wash the truck..... ;)

Might want to bump the time up. I met with Mike and Jim a few days ago and the BS lasted for about 3 Hrs. If all you guys show up at 3PM I will have to take the 5th wheel because the BS will last long into the night :D . Might consider a meeting point south of Phoenix and have a convoy.
