0013,

For starters, my guess is that it will be more of a "meet & greet". Who knows where it will go from there!

DavidC,

If you folks want to start earlier, let us know. 3:00PM probably is a late start. DavidC and MMoyle and I did burn up some time talking trucks. Heck, I've spent 4-5 hours in the Flying-J dieseling-up and talking. It's easy to do.

FBoyle,

Sorry to hear you can't make it. It would have been nice to meet you. Looking forward to it the next time.

Anymore suggestions or comments?

Joe F. (Buffalo)

PS: I had a great time talking to DavidC & MMoyle, the other day. Thanks Guys!

Hey Guys,

Looks like we'll have enough people for 3/12! Sounds like you all agree that the time should be bumped up a bit. How about 1PM? Let me know what you think.

A day or 2 prior to the event I will post who will be attending and any changes to the plan, so keep an eye out on this post. This is going to be fun! I hope you all can make it! If you can't... . no worries - There will be more!

I won't be bringing mine... . She would be bored out of her mind! That's just my wife, but if she is up to it, the more the merrier! :)

Sorry fells can't make it this time I just got back from a 2740 mile trip to Lake Charles, La and now I am off to Denver for a wedding. Talk about racking up the miles :) . Count me in for sure the next time. I really wanted to check out under the hood of that Chevy conversion. Oh well maybe next time.

I won't be able to make it, either - since the weather is cooperating for a change we're going wheeling. :D

Travis - If you have to go to Lake Charles, this is probably the time to do it. I was through there in June many years ago, and between the heat, humidity, and B-52 sized mosquitos I vowed to never return. ;) Maybe it won't be as miserable this time of the year... .

Ok Boys!

Looks like we are a go for tomorrow. Based on my quick calculation it looks like we will at least have 9 people going. My guess is that there will be more because we posted this in different forums. I can put together a final list if you read this post prior to tomorrow. So far the list includes:

MMoyle

Buffalo

DavidC

Ahann

AZCattle

0013

RamAZ

Poor

SteveinAZ

The more the merrier so those of you that need an excuse to get out and hit the road, this is it! Hop in your CTD and come on down! I will post a final count tonight or tomorrow. For those of you that don't want read this entire thread, this is the first of many AZ TDR events! The "meet" will be held this Saturday 3/12 at 1PM at:

The Pilot Truck stop in Elroy, AZ. The location can be found at the following link:

3 Measely Days!!!

3 Days! I missed this by 3 days!!! :{ :( :{ :( :{ :( #@$%! I just flew out of Pheonix on Wednesday! Count me in on the list for the club or whatever the group is going to be called. Dad and I are always down there for about 3 weeks around the end of February, and if this becomes a monthly I will make sure I plan my time down there accordingly. I love how clean the trucks are. I am always pulling off the roads and looking at the trucks in parking lots  so seeing lots of them would be right up my alley.

Also a thought, if this becomes a more often event, you might be able to get club/group parking at some of the car shows, depending on the show. A added bonus for those coming a long way. My . 02 cents worth(that's about . 05 cents Canadian). :D

Hey Guys,

I have not received any more e-mails about other CTD members for today. So it looks like the list above is all I am aware of. But, I wouldn't be surprised if a few others show up! See you guys this afternoon!

Was very good. Free diesel, Hula dancers, all the food you could eat, 10 cases of beer for each person, 5 free truck upgrades of your choice (not including 53 blocks) and a $40,000. 00 coupon for your next truck purchase. Are you buying any of this?. It was a good meeting sharing upgrades and upcoming upgrades. Meeting the faces behind the screen names. Pretty much a general B. S. session. If there is another one soon seeing how the weather is getting warm we should all go camping North.

Had I known it was going to be that goog I would have bought a ticket at any price and come back down. Good to hear though. How many people/trucks total?

Hey BSchwarzli,

We had a good time. There was about 9 guys that showed up. I attached a pic for you of all the guys that came, except for one. Andy came late so we didn't have a chance to get his picture. We will definitely hold more events like this! As Dave said, since summer is coming around soon it would be better if we had the event somewhere up north or at night. Keep an eye out for future posts!

AZ Meet & Greet

Hi everyone.

I had a great time meeting all of you folks. Really enjoyed talking to everyone and checking out the trucks. Had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gens. represented. things started winding down about 4:00PM but, I didn't leave til 7:00PM.

Ran across a guy with an '03 that was re-installing his Edge EZ in the Pilot parking lot and ended up locking his keys in the truck. He finally got the truck open with a coat hanger. Went in through the sliding back window. He really knew what he was doing ( except for locking both his and the wifes keys in the truck).

Also, spent some time talking with a guy that hauls helocopters around the country. He has a 40' gooseneck/flatbed. He had some interesting stories.

MMOYLE: Thanks for posting the picture!!!

BSchwarzle: Sorry you couldn't make it. You missed one of your fellow countrymen, FrankB, from London, ONT. He stays in a n RV park in Casa Grande, AZ. He showed up with a neighbor from Marquette, MI.

All in all, I had a GREAT time. There were about 10 people that showed up and all of them were really nice folks.

Hope we get a chance to do this again.
