Man, I am just really confused about this whole bigger turbo but same boost thing. I am running my HX-35 @ 38-40 psi max w/ a 14cm2 turbine and just wondering, in so many ways, how a bigger turbo(HX-40 or B-1) would be making the same boost as the stock 35 can. I would think the bigger the turbo, the more air that can be stuffed into the same intercooler, intake manifold and port volume but at a higher pressure, hence more boost. How did you set your wastegate up to get only 40 psi? Are you just breaking in the new turbo at that boost or are you scared of blowing a head gasket with anything higher?
