What's a good combo for 100mph in the 1/4?

Coolant question

Rubberneck,

I rev to 2000-2500 and feather the clutch just enough that the truck gets to about 10mph w/o loosing a lot of rmp then let it engage.

Some good news to ETH owners my 34k stock clutch that came out looks very good. It was a little galzed from slippage but had good material left and even wear. It was still holding near 400hp when it came out.

I don't get good readings below 5 psi on my 100 psi guage but I hit 40 psi at or near 2000 rpm in 6th. this thing has so much bottom end that getting beyond 40 psi in 5th is hard. by the time the truck loads up you shift.

I'm working on a few things to alleviate the boost loss between shifts.

I'm sure it will be even worse when you see and hear mine huh?? ;) Have you got those injectors yet? Are we still on for those days in March???

Exhaust should be here by Wed I hope... . turbo on Thursday or Friday.

Soon as the funding recovers its time for a fuel system enhancement... ...

B1

This new trubo is looken good. I pull some big lbs (15,000) and I'd like to know if any body has pulled that kind of weight with the B1. rubberneck, looken foward to your report on pullen your trailer. What's the poundage on that thing?

cliffman, my trailer only weighs 9000 lbs, but i am going to hook my father in laws bad boy to it. It is a 35 rl triple slide alfa. I believe it is @14k dry add 100gallons of water and all the other stuff, you get the picture. I figure if i can tow this no sweat, the turbo has most definitely earned its keep. i believe yogibear tows these types of trailers all the time, and he loves the B1

Too Many Gears

Rubberneck said the same thing, can't shift fast enough:eek:

Does second to fourth to sixth work on those semi truck transmissions?

BTW, last I heard from Rubberman (the parts between the laughter) he said he was going to hook up the fifth wheel and tow it somewheres to see how the turbo responds with a load. That ought to slow his shifting down some. We may not hear back from him till Sunday night.

Well, i have been playing with 2-3-5-6, so mark tells me launch in 3rd, so i guess i will play with 3-5-6. Peter, i may finally test the limits of the clutch. I am going to hook up trailer, but im thinking i better add braces to the hitch, i wouldn't want to rip it out and damage my pretty red paint. Oh yeah as far as slowing down the shifting while towing, not much, i can still beat most traffic while accelerating:eek:
