Backup Camera Relocate Kit

The ONE thing I HATE on my factory ordered 15 LongHorn DRW is the bed cam causes the backup cam to show in the rear view. Bed cam is useless IMHO.

I am considering buying this relocate kit. Anyone here done so already?

FWIW... I also do NOT like the digital rearview mirrors, the GMC I test drove had one and it was kinda eerie to look at, I was never a fan of the picture in a picture type either so that's why I was not disappointed when I did not have the feature on my 20'.

Id like to somehow put a camera on my 5er and see it on my 12" screen (instead of the tailgate) but its super low on my todo list. I assume its possible though.

Yeah, I do not have the trailer camera package, so I would have to see if there is a port for that as it says for equipped vehicles?

I assume Id as a work around, Id have to unplug the tailgate camera and then wire in a camera on the trailer and plug into that video input, will take some thinking and fab work I am sure.

No, it didn’t take long before Ram put both backup and cargo cams on the UConnect screen.

@bcbender, They have the setup for when you have a truck camper in the bed with the tailgate off. You could use that type of setup which plugs into factory system. Cant remember the thread, but it wasn't too long ago.

Two more gears and 8 years MaxCare again?
Also Surround Camera, Trailer Camera which are great.
And so on.. lots of improvement over the last 10 years.
... Tow Mirrors much better now.

Go ahead and be guinea pigs for me. Pretty please. I got a few years of warranty left on the EcoD before making the jump.

When they come out, I'll be sure to test drive plenty of them.

I'm hoping the bossman will buy one or two for the company when they come out. But I doubt it because he's got his eyes set on buying 3 more 2024 trucks. He said next year is the last year for my 2020 before it gets auctioned.

He's hoping the 2024's will be deeply discounted towards the end due to the transmission change.

As well as an updated and improved rear auto-level suspension, especially on the DRW’s.

Sorry, I tow heavier than most at over 35k combined and honestly have no desire for any of the listed items.

But I may spend the big bucks for this relocate kit.
