It's usually in the 100+ range.

The bad part is that the minute you walk outside, you become a sweat factory. It's almost like a sauna some days.

Try to clear this up;

It was my wifes idea to go riding. I picked her up from work with the horses. They are two and three and have been ridden for about a month. I need to keep them going daily for about three months. Planning in my part of starting them in may is a bad idea

Yup, its summer, today our thermometer dang near hit 80!

And last Jan. was really bad, why couple times there was a hint of frost on the windshield--if I went out real early.

course, it did rain, and rain, and rain, and blow, and blow and blow--- but then thats the Oregon coast.

Yea, yea, yea, I feel real sorry for you guys. Nicest early summer we've had in a while. Upper 70s and 80s most days for the past month. Been doing lots of boating on the Puget Sound. Don't even have to close the windows at night. We get a nice breeze from out of the tall firs behind the house flowing down hill to the water. If we leave the doors open it cools the house down to the 70s. Plenty of water too. I still leave the faucet running when I brush my teeth. :D

I'm sorry, I just have to rub it in. Not too often we have better weather than the southwest. Don't worry, we pay for it by not seeing the sun for 90 days at a time in the winter. Things get pretty moldy about May. Besides, what in the heck happened to our cheap and plentyful hydroelectric power anyway?:mad:

Hey Stan,

Well, up here in God's country, it has been a tad warm. 101* at my house yesterday (Wens. ) when I got home, and because my house just never cools off, it was 84* at 6AM when I got up today... My house is at 1700 feet elevation, so it's usually 5 - 8* cooler than the Sacramento valley. And to think I lived in Chico for 5 years going to college, and worked outdoors every one of those summers... ... :rolleyes:

Well at 107* right now we're hotter than Las Vegas and only 3F cooler than Phoenix. Still got a couple more hours to peak out and add a couple more degress to the high temp. "Desert Northwest" ;)

Well, I said it would cool off in a couple of days - it did today. In the upper 80's today, lots better than yesterday. My wife had to go up to the Red Bluff area yesterdayfor 5 days, was supposed to hit 115 or something like that in Redding today so she will be in the heat as well.

You guys in those great places keep rubbing it in! (I'll be in Alaska in about 2 weeks, I KNOW it won't be hot up there!!:D )

Stan

I dont know what the official temp was but....

Driving around today it was 111* all over town and a few places like down Broadway and up by the airport (where they read the official temp) it hit 112* @ about 5:00pm. I have never seen it this hot in Boise in the 13 years I have lived here. We set a record about 6-7 years ago, of 108*, which I believe was the hotest it had ever been in history.

Have to agree with Gitch. The humidity seems a close approximation to he__.

I always keep my sunglasses in the truck. If you take them inside for a while, then come back outside again, they fog up solid.

I'm the opposite. Mine have metal frames. You leave them in thetruck for more than 20 minutes and you'll brand the side of your head. :eek:
