Balloon Fest

Does anyone live in or around Albuq that could recommend a "reasonably priced" motel to stay somewhat close to the fest. If not close at least somewhere that I don't have to worry about the truck being ripped off. We plan to be there from the 7th thru the 10th of Oct.

I sent you a PM. I thought you were coming by RV. There are lots of Hotels around and near the park. I can't recommend any since I never stay in a hotel in Albuquerque. Do a google search. Now I can tell you about restaurants if you want. There's also a big shopping center not far from the park, which is Cottonwood Center.

The second weekend of Fiesta, good choice. Usually the mass influx is for the first weekend anyway, there are alot of motels along the I-25 corridor near the park. If driving is not a problem there are several along I-40 West of the river. I think Rt66 Casino does a promo during that time also. Make sure you put on your list of things to do the Balloon Museum, If you haven't been in a while it is a must do place, any of the 'Glows', special shapes on Thursday and Friday. You can PM me for dining ideas too.
