Thanks, TDR Staff

Gave a Corvette a bit of a shock yesterday.

When is the aftermarket...

I redid the turbo (Silver Phatshaft 62) the cooler (Banks Technacooler) the intake horn (Banks) on my 04 truck. When I got the Technacooler I checked for anything inside of it. Set it on end with the pressure IN side down and lightly tapped it. I found about 1/2 a thimble full of welding spall in the cooler.. I called Banks with a friendly call to tell them what I found, and then sent the spall via certified letter to them, "attn Engineering dept." Did not get a call from them that they got the envelope , so I called after one of the turbo boots failed (only one ply of cord) I wanted to let them know that debris of any amount is NOT OK in the cooler, and I had a boot failure. I got brushed off by the fellow I talked to. More or less told me that it was not a concern of his or to Banks. I was not expecting anything from them other than a "Thanks we will do a better job" but did not even get that .. Maybe someone had a bad day, it kind of ran over to me. To say I am dissappointed is a understatement. I would be hard pressed to reccommend Banks to any of my customers.

They are in it for the money as too for the purple trans people they all start great but end poorly . They all need to go back to their roots.

The cooler seemed to be well made, nice outside finish and of course had BANKS in huge letters cast into the end tank. So there must be some pride in the company. Just hard to understand how the staff could have lost touch with customer service. Oh well, there is lots of competitors building good products.
