Has anyone with a Banks Powerpack added injectors? Wondering if I can add the 275's and improve some of the low end if I go to a 14cm turbo.

For all it's worth, I just saw a 2000 24v 5speed,with a $2300 banks kit, with the OTTOMIND system in it. It was put on the dyno, after a stock one, same year and standard transmission. The Banks setup ran about 45-50 hp more than the stock setup. When the EZ BOX was put on the stock rig, it mad 5 or so hp more than the Banks setup. Aroung $1750 difference, and same hp rating. I hope those figures arent typical of all Banks systems. If others have dyo numbers on theirs or other banks systems chime in.

Jonz, numerous customers of The PowerShop had Bosch 275 HP RV injectors installed prior to having a Banks Stinger+ or PowerPack kit installed (these were on '98. 5 and '99 Rams... prior to Banks releasing their performance upgrade kits for the 24v). I've ridden in a Stinger+ equipped Ram with the Bosch 275s... very nice. [The only difference between the Banks Stinger+ and the PowerPack is a hotter Ottomind and High-Ram for the PowerPack].

Keep in mind ALL Banks performance SYSTEMS are engineered to be 50 state emissions legal... that may or may not be important to you. That said, I have most of the PowerPack system on my Ram although, I chose to go with (3) SPA digital combination gauges instead of their Dynafact gauges and chose to go with DD3 injectors instead of their Ottomind computer module. I actually produce more HP although I would doubt I'm emissions compliant. #ad

The dyno seemed to be fine. All numbers for the day were consistent. Also 243's #'s looked real good (if anything, maybe a tad on the high side - 204hp stock). I believe there was a problem - we tried the EZ on this truck also (no dyno), and felt little or no difference. All but one of the other trucks we tried it on performed great (I'll be working with the owner of the 2nd truck in the near future to figure out what's wrong on his truck).

the numbers may not be that far off. I did a dyno on my stock ETH. I was able to get 214 hp and 394 # torque. after i installed the powerpack , the numbers went to 281 hp and 559 FT. LBS torque. I sent the ottomind back to banks to have them check it out. they sent it back and said there was nothing wrong. this is a far cry from there advertised numbers!

As far as the dyno data goes, I think there was something wrong there. I have not dyno'd mine yet but I can tell you the differance between pulling a 6% grade with a 9000lbs trailer in 2nd at 40mph versus pulling the same grade in drive at 60mph and looking to pass the Suburban in front of you takes alot more HP and Torque than what that guy dyno'd at.
