What a day! Tons of trucks (big and small) were running at Bandimere. Thanks to all that came and raced and watched.
Banks showed up with the Sidewinder for the first drag race that they have tried. They did a bit of 1/8 mile testing, but no full runs. Truly, the truck is one impressive piece up close. Great workmanship and engineering.
Banks has a ATS Trans and TripleLoc in the truck and an Emjay controller. The engine is a pretty conservative build-up, not the killer one they ran at B-Ville.
Banks made 2 single passes, (as did we with the dragster) getting in the 12 'teens as a best.
We ran our best right off the trailer, 9. 31 at 139 and change. Our second pass, we blew way too much NO2 in for the 3rd gear change, and put the fire out, 9. 89.
3rd pass, we ran side by side, and it was a great shot off of the starting line. Both hit a good RT, Sheldon in the Banks truck at a . 019 , and Dustin in the dragster at . 035. We both slowed for similar reasons, the Banks truck hit neutral, and we short shifted into 3rd, and went flat. Final was a 10. 12 vs 12. 70.
60 ft times on the dragster went as low as 1. 271 on the first pass, and Banks hit 1. 875 on the final.
The dragster has a bunch left in it, and so does the Banks truck.
Again, great day, thanks to all!
