Dieselx, the "calibration module" as you refer to it is Banks' Ottomind computer module. The difference between the 24v Stinger and Stinger Plus packages is this: the Stinger Plus has a more aggressive Ottomind and their wastegated 14 cm2 turbine housing, the Stinger kit uses the Stinger wastegate actuator with the OE (12 cm2) turbine housing. . all other Stinger/Stinger Plus parts are identical. I just drove a '98. 5 24v equipped with the Banks Stinger package (AND 275 hp. Bosch injectors) on Friday. Although it performed very well, I would have to say my Ram felt stronger, ESPECIALLY in the lower RPM levels although, I would say it would be about even at roughly 2800-3200 rpm. See my signature below for the performance modifications I have made. I believe Ted (Jannetty) was/is correct in his assessment of the 12 cm2 turbine housing.
