Thanks, TDR Staff

Whose tuner [except Banks] provides trans temp?

They have been replaced twice already this will be the 3rd time and i have noticed that each time they are replaced the injector life seems to shorten, both times i have gotten Bosch units from a reputable injection shop.

Nothing prevents follow-up questions better than a part # ? Also like to know how many miles on 1st and 2nd replacements ?

Sounds like a perfect candidate for bbi's. Would have been ahead to have done them the first time, kinda what i am saying.

Not trying to kick you while you are down or anything.

If the replacements where remans, then that is a bit of a different story though.

I still maintain, with all the shady practices that happen with injector sales/shops and performance parts for that matter, i think bbi is the best choice if trying to get what you pay for and be sure you have the best quality in the business.

So i installed BB1's in my 06 at 450K. They hazed from the beginning. I played with the setting on my Smarty which helped but still hazed a bit and I could blackout an intersection at will. That being said my mileage was up .7 mpg on a 12K trip. At 773K I lost a ring in cyl 1. So I did a complete rebuild with 03/04 pistons,stage2 cam,Balanced, rods shortened, studs ect...I sent the injectors in to be rebuilt and nozzles changed. I was told the injectors looked great keep doing what I'm doing.
My truck pulls like never before I'm up a solid 1.5 mpg with the rebuild plus a nice power gain. I love my BB1's oh and with the engine build I have zero smoke. And I'm running on level 5 with the POD set at 70% before I ran on level 1 for best results.

All Bosch 5.9 injectors built after 2010 have all the latest updates, that is the last revision on the 5.9 CR injector with the silanized bodies. BBI starts with new Bosch bodies and massages the internals and adds a customized nozzle.

As Martin explained, injector setup is a exact science as the solenoid that gets fired is not hooked to anything. How it reacts to ECM drivers input ultimately determines quality and quantity of the injection event. BBI's are balanced to +\- 1% in a set, production run Bosch is +\- 3%. Anything else has been tested all over the board for balance and flow.

Yes i was referring to the latest updates as Cerb has mentioned. What is the chances of getting bosch inj that are older than 2010 without the latest body updates?

Part number will tell you. When you request injectors make sure they are part number 0445120238 to get the latest and last revision.
