BD exhaust brake; same e-brake for both manual and slushbox?

Howdy!

This here's your neighborly cheap-a$$ JyRO! Just wondering if there's any difference in the BD brake between the manual and slushbox.

Is there a on/off button inside to turn the e-brake system off? Is there a delay between full off throttle and e-brake operation on the BD system?

Any all info welcome. You guys have probably covered this back and forth and are doing this-----> #ad

Hey JyRO, there is no difference on the BD brake between the manual and, as you put it, the slushbox.

The on/off switch is normally a toggle switch mounted on the dash but an optional shifter mounted on/off button is available.

There is no delay in the operation of the brake, once the pedal is off (idle) the e-brake is engaged.

JyRO: I have the BD Brake on my Y2K 6sp. The toggle switch turns the power to the system on, but to activate the brake, I have their remote switch mounted on the side of my shifter. Much easier to modulate this way as I don't have to reach forward towards the dash where the toggle switch is located. The switch looks like a gear splitter, at least that's what most folks who see it tell me they think it is.
