Yes, I have a question. After installing my BD lift pump and driving 5,000 miles the fuel pressure gauge started jumping back and forth. This happened twice and the 2nd time it would not stay pegged at 15psi. I felt that my OEM lift pump was gone. I was not concerned about not having enough fuel, so several hundred miles latter I found a Diesel mechanic and had him install my spare Cummins lift pump which I always carry. Now the fuel pressure gauge reads a steady 15psi. By watching the fuel pressure gauge is a sure way to tell if the fuel pump fails. $245 for the BD aux. lift pump, $140 for the OEM pump and $90 for labor is not excessive amount if you can save the injector pump.
