Good article on 2019 HD RAM

4WD on 2017 3500 not as good as 2003 2500?

only opinion here but i hate the level look. looks stupid as all hek imo. especially since many of the trucks , ram/ ford /chevy, end up looking saggy rather than level, even without a load.

To each his own! I use my truck differently than most on this site and I know my suspension modifications have allowed me to do things that weren't possible in stock form, or do them faster and more comfortably. I think all of us can agree we modify our trucks for our own intended usage. I have no desire to tow a small home behind my truck and the average dually 3500 owner couldn't imagine taking their truck where mine frequently goes. In the end, we're all Cummins enthusiasts for whatever purpose we chose to buy one.

Well stated!

Cure is adding bags.

Wouldn't this be the same advice then for those who don't level their trucks?
Adding a load is going to change the headlight aim whether you're leveled or not...unless you have bags.....but you only bring it up when folks talk about leveling.

No because the stock truck is designed to be "LEVEL" when loaded. So loading a "LEVELED" truck will automatically place the rear low when "LOADED".

I don't consider my truck "LOADED" in this pic. If I put 2-3k in the bed it would be AZZ low and need bags to get back to level.

Class Dismissed!

First pic is without bags. See how it rides LEVEL???

Second pic is with bags. See how the ride height is the same? I added bags for ride quality NOT to adjust the ride height.

If I had a leveling kit I could have raised the bags to get back to LEVEL.

BUTTTTTT, hold on then that creates another issue! Now my RV is riding nose high and placing an additional load on the rear tires of my RV.

Now if i want everything to ride LEVEL as it's intended to I will need to add risers to my RV.

Now you are going on about other things. It almost like you are applying your scenario, as if it applies to everyone??

That said, are you suggesting that Ram designed these trucks to have the headlights aimed properly, ONLY when loaded (without bags mind you, in fact, just forget about bags for this discussion)? So when they aren't loaded (like, probably 80% of the time or or more if you averaged all users) they are improperly pointing too low? That doesn't sound like something they would do....for safety reasons.

People are always talking about getting flashed when loaded. I get flashed some when in alt ride mode same as being loaded.

Tough to have lights sdjudted for both conditions.

Front leveled rear loaded lights in sky plain and simple.

But again.....with headlights re-aimed, it's no different than a stock not-leveled and loaded truck (without bags).

I'll dumb it down, 3 different scenarios:
-Stock, not leveled....headlights aimed properly unloaded - point further up when loaded, MIGHT GET FLASHED WHEN LOADED!.
-Leveled, but headlights re-aimed properly unloaded - point further up when loaded, MIGHT GET FLASHED WHEN LOADED!
-Leveled, but NO headlight adjustment.....headlights pointing to the sky. Solution? aim headlights.

See how the bolded results are the exact same thing?

If a person wants to level their truck, all they need to do is re-aim their headlights, problem solved, or at least.....the problem is no different than a stock non-leveled truck that is loaded.

Are you guys that are doing the thuren or carli kits having shops align to factory specs or are you guys having your trucks aligned to thurens specs?

The Thuren specs are withing the factory specs just a much narrower range, the stock specs is comparable to a football field where Thurens is the end zone.
