bedliner spray on grille guard

I am having a grille guard put on my truck and I am thinking of having it spayed with liquid bedliner like rhino or line-x or some other brand. Anybody have experience with this, good or bad?



And I am also looking for places in the North Dallas Texas area that would do this for me at a reasonable price.

Got a friend with a 98 cummins and when he got it a couple of years ago he lined the bed, tool box, back pipe bumper, bed rails, and front grill guard. the stuff that he got sprayed on the rails and bumper where a lower line of spray and its starting to peal but the rest is holding up great.

I used herculiner(the stuff you by at walmart that you can roll on) on a set of nerf bars. Looked great, just didn't last long. I would think the line-X would hold up great.

i made the mistake with my 98 Dodge. I paid $500 for a LineX spray on and it was a big mistake. It pealed, chipped, discolored. I could go on. Linex Corp would NOT stand behind the so called lifetime warranty. My advice is a can of Krylon on the bumper/grillguard. . You can do it for $2. 50 and re do it when it scratches. I just bought a new 2004 HO and it came with the plastic liner which I put in the rubber mat out of my 98 I was using to hide the lousy Linex... Just my 2 cents worth. .

Now, I don't want to read in a few months from now that you did the Linex and want to know how to get it off... OK?

PS ... I use the rubber mat to keep stuff from sliding on the plastic.
