Bedliners

[Rams-n-Hogs]

Just got a '04 Hemi Ram and I want to put a spray in bedliner in it. Being the cheapskate that I am, who has the best one for the buck? I priced Linex and Rhino, and both are right at $500. Is there anybody else that has one not quite so cost-prohibitive, (OK, cheaper )?

I'm no expert but I haven't heard of any other spray on liner that's equal to the Linex or Rhino applications.



I have the Linex and can tell you that it's hard as stone! It holds up to what ever you put in the bed with no damage or noticeable wear! I also hear the same from those who have the Rhino liner. The main difference between the two is the Rhino has a more "non-skid" texture where the Linex allows you to slide things easier.

Thanks! I have one in my 96 that was done in Ak, but I can't remember if it's Linex or not. I know it's not Rhino, because they wanted at least $100 more for it when I got it. It's been a pretty good one, considering the abuse I've given it. Seems llike it was called Armor coating, or something like that.

Maybe we can add the new Kenne Bell "Blowzilla" to this as your first B. O. M. B. ???????. Line-X or Rhino color keyed is the deal. Rhino dealer here in my town does them color matched for a little less than what you were quoted... ... ... Andy

I got mine done with Linex over the rail for $375 a bit over two year ago. You may be able to find a better price with a few phone calls and a drive to another town. Don't settle for less than a good professional installation to save $100 or so. Once a bad liner is installed, you are stuck with it. If you can't afford one right now, then I'd just leave the bed plain until you can get it done. The liner will cover whatever scratches may have occured by then anyway.

One thing that was pointed out to me is to make sure the installers take out screws for the tail lights, tailgate panel, and cargo tie downs, if any. I had mine done that way, and if I ever have to take any of that off, I won't have to go cutting up the liner to get those off. My installer sprayed those separately, and it makes a much more professional installation. I got Line_X. My uncle got a Rhino liner sprayed in, and they just sprayed everything. It all depends on who does the install, so definitely look at their work before you commit. I also got over the rails, since anytime you put something in or out of the bed, you will probably scratch the top going over. With todays paint jobs, just a grocery sack will scratch it.

First BOMB has to be dual exhaust. It's a Hemi, it needs to sound like one. Truck is black, so I'm not too worried about color matching. Any major BOMBing is going to have to wait, since I have a truck payment again. Can you PM me with you Rhino dealers number? Might have to make a road trip if the price is right. Need to break it in anyway. Maybe I'll put it on the dyno next year.

Thanks for the tips. I thought about the tie-downs, but the screws for the light lenses and tailgate panel never even occurred to me.
