Competition Smoked a V-10 Ford

JohnP I believe is his member name. He has a B1 Turbo on his 2500. You probably remember him and his truck from BMD's opening Wade.

The truck was fire engine red (SPOTLESS) and the engine bay was CHROME!(bling bling):-laf

And John was white haired and mustached. (no hard feelings John;) )

He was the one that Daniel looked up from taking my rack stop out and said "that's about 102(mph)" as John drove by. :D

Member Kwikurt sells them, and you should only need 1 of them. I dont have a link to his site, but look him up with the search function, and im sure you can get ahold of him somehow. For the WEst coasters, HVAC sells them also

Wade:

It looks like "Kat" has taken care of you on the threads

for the B-1.

gotsmoke:

Your right, I am white haired!!:D And no offense taken!;)

It's hell to get old... ... ... ... . :( Thanks for the nice comments

on my truck!

B1 Turbo

Wade, I'm part of the group that brought that B1 to production.

I feel it's a very fine turbo with exceptional performance. It's best at high performance applications IMO. It flows a LOT of air, more then the H2 reportedly.

If you don't compete with your truck or intend to push the performance real hard, then you might be better with a smaller turbo for spool up.

Larry Crawford just beat up the competition at Scheid's last weekend. He's running a B1 turbo.

After many hours of reading, I may go with something smaller. It would be nice to have a foot-to-the-floor-all-day-long turbo, but I repeatedly run out of road with the pissy little power I have now!

And if I start throwing $1-2k at every single upgrade, I'm not going to get fully upgraded any time soon.

Thanks all, carry on.

Once you get between 450 - 475hp it becomes more exspensive to keep going higher..... just the way it is.

450hp is a piece of cake to obtain tho. It gets tricky over 500hp.

Wade... .

An old drag racers phrase fits here for your modifications in your truck as well as those seeking those added 100ths on the drag strip.....

"The first couple of 10ths may only cost you hundreds of dollars, the next needed 100ths to win class or just flat outrun your opponent will cost you thousands of dollars, hence the old hemi racer saying... Power & Speed = Cubic Money"

The other old racers tale is this... .

"How fast you want to go is determined by how deep your wallet is"... ... ... ... . Andy
