1) Are any of you experiencing "high idle" in 80* weather? I am and I'm not sure why.

2)If I have work done under warranty and that work goes bad after the warranty runs out, is it still covered?

Sorry for being so lazy, but i've been way too busy!

No, I have not experienced high idle at those temps. I would guess that the work would be covered even if your warranty was up... for a certain amount of time.

The owner's manual says that if the coolant temp gets above a certain point, high-idle will kick in for better cooling.

Not necessarily-the pass. window on my 98 GC was flaky, but the dealer couldn't duplicate-it quit at 38K miles, and DC wouldn't pay 1 cent b/c it was "beyond the factory warranty"...

Ditto on that one. Noticed it in passing the other day in the manual.
