I am considering getting a home brewing kit. I have a good idea on how to make beer(food science student at purdue university). I am open to any and all suggestions. I plan on brewing stouts, no need on putting in alot of time on wussy lagers. I have found a site that appears to be well priced midwest homebrewing supplies. They have starter kit for $50, and I would only need the yeast, grain, and bottles (I already have pots big enough to make the wort in). I thing the EZ-cap bottles would be easier to use, but they cost more, and might be harder to sterylize. And I dont need a cappimg machine or more caps for the next batch. But I can get 12oz bottles very easily (buy full ones

). I have a cool basement to ferment in in the summer, so getting the yeast above optium temp aint too much of a problem.
If anyone has made their own beer, and have suggestions, give them to me. If you have equipment to make your own beer, and dont want it, TELL ME.
