2015
93,000 miles

Second owner for about three years now, never had a code until a few weeks ago.
Now I have had:
P-00af-Turbocharger Boost Control Module Performance
P-003a-Turbocharger Boost Control Module Position Exceeded Learning Point
come up twice now in as many weeks. Truck runs fine, exhaust brake still works fine but I imagine this is going to become a problem sooner than later.
There was a U code come up the second time, I seem to have misplaced the paper I wrote the codes on atm.

Probably, but you never know, it may go a long time just posting the occasional code.

Check with city diesel and see how their stock or backorder situation is currently running.

Same codes I had ,but mine didn't run well at all , been fine since the actuator was replaced . It did seem to run okay after I unhooked the fifth wheel , but was obvious when the CEL went on , pulling a slight grade outside Flagstaff ,Az with fifth wheel in tow, didn't seem to be getting much boost.

If I would have been home ,instead if nearly 700 miles away, I would of done something different ,but in no position there to do much about it . Didn't dare attempt to try ,and get home with a fifth wheel in tow. Got it into a dealer in Flagstaff, got the actuator replaced ,and $2200 and three days later back on the road headed home . That was in April , has run great since, about 1000 miles now towing. I would of went with a City Diesel actuator had I been home.

As of right now, out of stock, sounds like later in July at this point.

U010C - Lost Communication With Turbocharger / Supercharger Control Module A
is the other code.
If repair was going to be in the 2k neighborhood I think I would just upgrade to the fleece turbo. Only thing that bothers me is it says "comes with fleece actuator or brand new actuator". What? I hear the fleece actuators are good, if they made their own with no problems why would they put a new stock actuator on their turbo?

I think the Fleece actuators are reman stockers, just like their turbos are.
I would see if you can hold out for the City Diesel, if they don't have one on hand maybe one of their dealers will.
Even if you paid someone to install it for you, it would cost less than $2K.

Crazy side note......I purchased a Cummins reman actuator from M&D a couple years ago and paid $300-something bucks. I checked their site last week and they are now $1200!

Thats a pretty good price, the dealer price for mine on my bill was $1650, total parts ,and labor ,taxes was $2240.21. Feel fortunate it wasn't now. Even the City Diesel is $895.00. I was just happy considering they even had one .

I am pretty sure that price is for a new actuator. A few months ago I tried buying a reman for a friend through them and they said they were not offering remans at this moment. They did not elaborate why.

I'm sure it is a matter of not enough good cores available.

I was thinking they had another solution so I just went back to my email and here it is.

The Reman Actuator that we use to offer has been superseded multiple times and is no longer offered reman. We can offer you the new exchange replacement or if you wish to continue to purchase the reman option, we can offer you actuator part number CUM5496045RX. This would be the same actuator except it is for a water-cooled application. You can purchase this actuator along with plug part number PAICUP050572 (to plug off the water port) and you would be set. We have these in stock and ready to go.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

This was from M&D Distributor.

Looks like they are going to extend the warranty on 2013-2015 trucks. Has no ETA on issuing the warranty extension. If you paid for one you can most likely get reimbursed. Not sure how they might handle using the non OEM units.

Where are you seeing this???
Post a link.

I think you guys are under estimating the messenger. Sag2 isn't in the business of spreading rumors.

I asked the question on another forum, a bit of skepticism to say the least. There were a couple that were pretty adamant about it , he apparently had been banned from this forum, apparently another member here got the boot for awhile, he mentioned his exile on another forum .
