Hi, guys and gals! I have learned a lot as a lurker and have just joined TDR. My need to add a question to this thread pushed me over the top!
I have been reading about the BHAF and the periodic K&N filter debates. I like the BHAF and understand how the K&N is supposed to work and its claims of passing more air than a stock filter. I have calculated that the BHAF has about 50% more filtering surface area, not considering differences in pleating, than a stock filter. I think that it might be useful to hear more of how the BHAF is performing in terms of egt reduction, boost increase, mileage gains, etc. both when new and when about to be replaced. I know that some have the opportunity to compare it against the K&N also. I have a never-installed K&N and would like to decide now whether to install it or sell it and choose a stock or BHAF filter. Your observations about the BHAF would be appreciated.
