I personally don't like the idea of an oiled filter on an intercooled engine. Eventually, an oil film will form in the passages of the IC and dirt will stick to it clogging the ports.

I can't agree more. However, I'm for a Volant cold Air Intake based on several reviews. The oil impregnated filter which is weak link, can be replaced with a nanofiber filter offered by Amsoil. Amsoil EA Air Induction Filters

Anyone know what is the flange inside diameter of the Volant filter cone on an 03-05 CTD ?

Thanks

K&N question

So, stupid question, being new and all to making mods to my truck I put a K&N intake on and love the sound and the mileage went up considerably. Should I be expecting any problems with it?

Seems everyone is using something different. What do you guys think?

thanks for the help!

just installed the AFE super stock system on my 06 and noted an improvement, still have to modify the air box with the 4" downtube and expect more!
