Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Best place to sell my truck

It's about time to sell the '97, another baby on the way and the extended cab with no doors is just too small. Let's face it, trade in at the dealer will be nill. Any suggestions as to where to sell the truck? ebay?

i naver had any luck with auto trader, i like ebay i have sold a truck and a motorcycle and it only took a week and i got what i wanted for them. there are more people on ebay than anywhere else

I find that the best way to sell any vehicle is to put a FOR SALE sign on the drivers side back window with large letters and phone number and do your normal driving to work, shopping and where ever you go. Keep it clean, people will call. Another good source is craigslist.org

I would recommend Craigs List (craigslist: san francisco bay area classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events) for easy sale. I have sold lots of stuff on EBay, but for a truck you want to hit the people a little closer to home, and Craigs list allows that. I put my Executive motorhome on and it sold within 10 minutes! I hate tire kickers, so I intentionally hit the large markets a couple hundred miles away.

Another area to consider, is photos. There are many internet places you can post photos - for free!. I personally have used Shutterfly for this, here is an example of the link you can put in your free TDR or Craigslist for people to see your machine that you put in the ad. Photos are very important, and are free! Here is a sample, you click on the link, then click view photos, then view slideshow and sit back and enjoy the 49 photos(this is a sample only, the motorhome is sold I am just waiting for the money):

Put my 96' 12v 5spd on a local diesel website (Northwest Bombers). It was gone within a week. Upgraded to a Mega.
