My company has been after me to let them purchase me a new truck. Since Dodge will now be making a crew cab with an 8 foot bed, I'm getting ready to sell my old one. I have used auto trader web site in the past and might try them again. Any other ideas?

Personally, I would put a, "FOR SALE", sign on the the back window with your phone number in big letters. Put the sign on the drivers side of the window. Drive the truck to and from work and to all your daily commuting.

Also put an ad on craigslist.org.

ebay's not bad but you'll have to pay them a fee. You'll usually get a good price there though - there's a lot of exposure. I sold a Mustang on there and got more than I thought I'd get for it.

Craigslist... . it's free & LOTS of people prowl it looking for a deal... We sold last truck, last 2 campers, old tires etc quick& easy for decent money. I'm constantly popping in looking for stuff

I've had lots of luck selling parts and the like on craigslist. I have not had very good luck moving vehicles... . lots of spam emails etc. It is worth a try though.

Craigslist is free so it's worth a try but around here you just get lots of low-ballers and scammers. I've had very little luck buying or selling on Craigslist. Tried to sell my old boat at blue book price and everyone from Craigslist wanted to offer me half that. I sold it for my asking price with a newspaper classified ad. Also, tried to buy a boat off there and it turned out the guy selling didn't even own it.

When I sell vehicles I just do Truck Trader and Craigslist. Craiglist gets more of the younger people and truck trader covers the less computer savy people. Craiglist you just need to say 'cash only' and 'firm' and that usually cuts down on the crap shooters.
