D. Showan,
Just about anyone can beat another’s price. Give me a price, I will cut the quality of my product and give you a better price. You tell me what the competition said, and I will give you a better story. It has been said, “Each vender knows what their product is worth”. Low dollars, low value? Obviously, you can pay more for less.
Consider the following:
Why is the most popular vender so popular?
Can you reach the venders tech support?
What is the overall attitude of the company’s staff?
Has the vender ever tried to convince you to buy a less expensive product?
Does the vender try to sell you their top of the line every time?
Have you read any negative comments on the TDR based on substance?
Is the vender so good, they only need one version of their product, or do they have several versions depending on your application?
I am not beholding to DTT in any way, but DTT will get my money, when the time comes.
Read their bulletins for a while, then decide where you can save money.

P. S. I own no Snap-On tools, and do buy from Kmart (not often).
