Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Best way to install ISSPRO transmission temp probe??

Hey all,



I'm helping a friend get his ISSPRO gauges installed in his '98. 5 truck, but we're unsure what the best way is to install the transmission temp probe. We don't want it in the pan. Preference is to have it in the hot line, but the ISSPRO probe is different than the VDO probe that I T'd into my hot line using a 3 way brass compression T. The ISSPRO probe appears to have 1/8" NPT threads. Any idea what would work best for this setup?



Will the old style transmission cooler line work for this? If so, does anyone have the part number? TIA for any info!

Mopar part#05011244AA oil cooler tube. This line is for 95,I think. The port is 1/2 inch. You can A get 1/2 to1/8 reducer at Lowe's,Home Depot Ect. The cooler line is about $100. Where are you in southern IN.

Check the box. My ISSPRO temp guage came with the 1/2 to 1/8 bushing.

Check under the truck and see if the fitting is in place. Mine was, took the part back to Dodge, did`nt need it.

Good luck Steve. It's not a hard job,just a little messy. You may need a couple quarts of ATF.
