Dave MacArthur: "Does anyone here have a PTO pump on their truck? Does anyone know if there is a vendor that sells a complete kit? "
You might want to look at www.northerntool.com. They have add on hydraulic pumps ie. like dc clutched ac compressors in v-belt and serpentine configurations. I have thought about this is the past but then I would have to add the tank and filter, etc.
My mile marker 10,500 is a 2 speed version, so it can be fast in the high speed position but is only rated at ~1500lbs on first wrap in the high speed mode.
I have one question, if you use a snatch block to double the pulling power and halve the line speed, where do you attach it to?
If you attach it the either frame rail, would this not have a tendansy to pull you frame out of alignment??
ie. not equal pulling load like the winch itself. Or do you somehow attach it back to the center of the winch mount?
