I just visited there site yesterday without any problems, but now that you mentioned it I'm scared to go back. I spend enough money on my truck, don't want to put any in my computer.

When I was there though I was checking out their twins and noticed that the compressor housing on the stock turbo was rotated and that there was no wastegate actuator hooked to it. I'm pretty curious about this setup cause they use the stock turbo without an external wastegate. Did they make a special bracket for the actuator? Did they leave the wastegate open or did they seal it shut? How can a stock turbo hold up to that kind of pressure and HP levels? Does anyone know?

Sorry to get off subject.

You all much be over the hill! "My CPU....."

heheheheh. serious, who says "CPU" like that anymore.

Smart *** side note, it's just not your CPU that gets the work done on the computer BTW, there are chip sets, bios, haddrives, network cards, etc, etc, etc, they all work together to get the job done.

When you say "CPU", being a network administrator I'm thinking, you have an P4-3ghz hooked to your monitor and keyboard with out a motherboard, case, powersupply?

Kinda like saying "My cummins pulls alot of load". . Umm no, you can't have a motor pull anything with out a transmission, axels and a frame right? Technicly, it's the Ram truck that does the work. But it's usualy understood as the truck when you say Cummins.

Geeky rant over.

Seriously folks. Make sure you have proper and uptodate Anti-virus running.

Also, once a week download and run Adaware (www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware). That will get alot of crap the A/V stuff hasn't a clue about.

Run Firefox as your primary browser.

Buy a Mac.

If you need help with anything. I can do most work remotly. Rates aren't all the bad. :)

Will work for use of tools and garage from any local MN TDR member :)

Well I have gotten rid of most of it. Found a major program that only works in safemode. Norton found 2 infected files, this found 230.

Just got to reset my desktop somehow. Had also gotten a Trojan called DesktopHijack.

Funny, I have Norton 2004. I guess I need a newer version.

And for you smart#ss geeks, it corrupted my ECM! :-laf

Had my modem get fried in my pc earlier in the year, when the thunderstorms first started, this pc had norton, took the pc to a kid that works at a computer place, he replaced the norton with the AVG software, it will track down and kill anything and it updates sometimes 1. 2. 3 times a day, the Norton he told me was the most useless piece of **** program their was and i believe him... the AVG updates from the lavasoft site... . and whats great is it was installed free of charge and i haven't had a virus yet to come through... That trojan you had will kill your hardrive not to mention steal any info or passwords you have when you enter and leave alot of sites... Be thankful it got rid of that trojan, basically it attaches to your computer not doing anyharm but it piggybacks and whomever it belongs to can turn your pc on, off, check your files, run your webcam if you have one and they can do this from their pc no matter where they are in the world.

I found and removed the extra code in the website that somebody hacked into our home page.

Sorry for any problems it may have caused. I did some research and this virus was just released two days ago. That's probably why some of your antivirus software didn't catch it.

I often wonder what kind of lonely person sits around creating viruses or spends the time to attack one specific website. They must be truly sad and lonely individuals.

Some member of the TDR called the shop today and informed us that there was a virus. Whoever you were, I appreciate the info. I don't have time to read the TDR constantly, but you probably saved several people some computer trouble.

That was me.

Your girl that answered the phone, sounded like she thought I was crazy.

I just didn't want other people to come to my fate. :(

One last note on Anti-virus programs. Junk Norton if you have it. Use BitDefender or PCCilin. Two of the best on the market. Since I have been using Bitdefender I do not have to scan for spyware period. Did a couple of times after install and there wasn't anything eber. Have had no virus problems, and updates as soon as it gets something new. Seriously if you spend a lot of time on line especially with any broadband/wireless connection or use Internet Explorer (have to use Firefox) get AV software other than Norton or McAfee.
