I purchased a new 2014 RAM 3500 DRW in the middle of December.
Now I needed to add a few things to the truck.
One of the fires Items was a pair of steps similar to the Smittybuilt ones I had on my 2004 after 10 years still look like new.
I settled on the 5”Oval step from Raptor ”CYC Engineering” Boy that was a mistake!
I received the bars on 1/4/2014 Had to sign for them unpacked them assembled all the hardware on Sunday 1/5/2014 to make sure it was all.
When I unpacked the driver’s side bar it had a dent in it and I was really surprised how thin the material was on the bars plus I could squeeze the oval and deflect it about .5 inch on top and bottom…
So I made a decision that the bars were not the quality that Raptor States first time running thru ruts and gravel this will be destroyed and they were damaged when I got them so I want to send them back and get my card credited…
I called 4wheelonline and they told me to take pictures and fill out the return form and select credit they will get me a MRA # so I can ship them back.
I received a email from them that stared I was getting a MRA#, than about 1 hour later I get a e-mail that Raptor is sending me a new bar ….I don’t want a new bar and I need to take time off work again to be there to receive the new bar that I don’t want plus now I have a damaged bar that I have to take to the dump….more of my time wasted…..
I want these returned and my account credited they will not do that now until I receive the new bar and pack it with the other good bar and send those back…than they are going to charge me shipping for the first order along with a 10% restock fee.
4wheelonline tells me that it is Raptors policy along with theirs. I looked on Raptors web site did not find this policy about sending a replacement bar
I know I will not be purchasing any additional products from either one of these retailers in the future and when I told them that they did not care so I thought I would let everyone on TDR know.
I should have purchased the AMP Bars from Genos Garage….
Thanks for reading…be careful where you buy
