I have always like Mud Terrains, but they will wear pretty quick. This is made worse on a street rig by a narrow wheel. You have to deflate the tire slightly to get the right contact patch and this results in built heat.
If I was looking for tires/ wheels, which I may yet do, I would go to the 18x9 size and look at the Toyo MT 'E' rated tires. Most of the 18" sizes have a btter bacakspacing arrangement then the 17"ers out there. And the ability to run higher pressure s and not wear the centers will help you put more miles on the rubber.
Now all this is great for the street. Off road, I want a narrower wheel for rim protection. But everything is a tradeoff. As I run my rig 95% on pavement, I start there. I just need the MT for those times I have to put the boat in on a sand covered ramp or a gravel "unimproved" ramp. Sometimes a winch is handy too. :-laf
