Picked up my Moparguy filter today! Wow, what a monster... the parts guy did have a terrific observation: There is metal screen around the outside, but none on the inside -- so when the paper gets wet (ie. big puddle) the heavy paper will get sucked into the pipe! The guy disappeared for a couple minutes, and came back with a similar filer... almost as big, same shape... . but with screen inside and outside! Is for the 8. 3 Marine application, and is designed to go directly on the turbo! Caution: a boat's engine room is, although warm, very clean... no dust and dirt to contend with! And, the price: My Moparguy filter was $38, the Marine filter was $75. Food for thought.
