What about the Edelbrock IAS Performer? I have a set on my 1984 F150 and they are great. There is a fit for G3 Dodges. Has anyone tried them?

I would suggest staying away from any NON monotube shock... These trucks are just way too heavy to use anything else. .
If you decide to get anything but a high pressure monotube, just get the cheap off the shelf "rancho-monroe-gabriel" etc... They are all pretty much the same. .
A high pressure mono-tube gas shock would be considered and upgrade, anything else is no better than stock...

So you are saying that the Ranchos are a cheap off the shelf shock? I was under the impression that the Ranchos were pretty good. I had to replace all four on my 03 within the first 6 months and they really stiffend out the ride.![]()
I had the non adjustable Ranchos. I haven't had to replace the shocks in my 05 yet. That might be the next project.

How long do the average shocks last for? Particularly the stocks ones from Dodge? And then what you all recommend for shocks w/ putting a 870 lb. plow on the front end? Thanks in advance for the replies.
