SPound said:I'am planning on replacing my shocks on my 06 dually and trying to decide which shocks are best for confort ride. The truck is stock hieght and is used 95% of the time for hauling 11k gooseneck. Any thoughts or opinions?
JayWm said:I tried the Rancho 9000's on my 05 2wd dually. They were worse than the stock shocks. Truck has 28,000 miles. I was looking for something that was stiffer on the front than stock. Too much oscillation on the front for my liking whether its empty or loaded. I ended up putting the stock shocks back on for now. By the way when I installed them I set the rs9000's at stiff as possible and still found them weaker than the stock shocks.
TAbbott said:Try the Bilsteins. They are way, way better than the stock shocks. You still hit the bumps, but you only hit 'em once.
TowPro said:but are the Bilsteins available for the 06 3500's 2wd's yet? At 8000 miles I am ready to replace all 4. In fact the backs squeak, but only when loaded with my 5er.
I called Bilstein and they said no. Something about she was not allowed to tell me that another part number would work because it was not Designed for the application or something.

TAbbott said:My truck is an '06. I put the 5100 Bilsteins on it and they work great.
TAbbott said:No. Mine's a 4x4 QC long bed. Do you think they have different shock mounts?
