any idea what the effects of bleach in the fuel tank will do to the internals of a common rail with fass 150 gph w/2 micron filter, dual cp3, ii injectors? I was having issues with a #@$%! dumping bleach and other trash in my fuel tank regularly. finally i put a locking fuel cap on the truck and so he puts glue in my lock. I have only heard on several occassions he was using bleach to try to hurt the truck. I also have rusting in my cylinder head. when i pull the connector tubes out scales of rust from cylinder head on laying loose on the connector tube. I have difficultly with injector swaps due to rust scaling. What kind of damage if any would be on the fass, cp3's, injectors, and pressure relief valve? and what are the repairs? midatlantic diesel has heard the truck run and he says it dont run right. but its a nightmare to seat and seal injectors and connecting tubes properly with the cylinder head in the shape its in internally

Bleach-Sodium Hypochlorite. House hold bleach is 4-5% chlorine. Here at work our bleach is 12-13% strength. It eats up any carbon steel pretty fast. Being inside a diesel tank I don't know of a way to neutralize it without doing more damage to the fuel system. It cannot be filtered out because it is a liquid itself. When we mix it with the drinking water it yields a form of hydrochloric acid. An effective disinfectant.

When you drain the fuel/water seperator does the liquid have a bleach smell?

Bleach is bad news on carbon steel. I would think that if it had been done on a regular basis the truck would knock loudly when injected into the engine, just as water will do. Might want to call the insurance agent. Sorry to hear about that.

Sorry to here about that problem,But their are some real punks out there!!!!!!!WE all have a quite a bit of money tied up in our rigs. Also you may to open A CASE OF WHOOP ***!!!!!!!!

Bleach is a water based liquid... I would assume that the filter should stop it...

The simple test would be to put a cup in a pint jar, mark the level, fill to the top with diesel and shake it up... and then let it settle... if it settles back to the same line, I'd assume that the diesel is not absorbing it...

get a camera and get the law involved a game camera works great at night.

game cam for sure, i hope you catch that guy, i once caught a guy stealing motorcycle straps out of my truck and before i could say anything, another guy gave him the right handed knock out just for being a thief. i hope you catch whoever is doing this, #@$%!

The game camera is a great idea! Make sure to buy the infra red model that has no flash. The pictures make great court evidence. Set it on video and be sure to get the large 2 gig memory card.

and when he is arrested, file a law suit for replacement of the entire fuel system and the engine. if he doesn't pay, lock up his wages, put a lean on his property.

on the other hand:

if he has nothing, become friends, take him hunting and do a dick cheny to him.

Response to skydiver: sounds like a great chemical.

response to above: the nasty substances are already burnt out is amazing what the cummins will burn:D. we installed a locking cap a 8 months ago after we first noticed sand in our 2 micron filters regularly. i havent had tdr membership in a long time to inquire but cylinder head appears to be getting worse where the connector tubes are.

reponse to above: about women, employee, cameras, etc. I would rather not get into the details of the actions of this individual and his family.

response to above: as far as whoopin rear. we have been trying to catch them in the act and to avoid issues with the state police. as much as would love to, I cant go hunting down the fat "punk" cuz they will try for a peace order and i can lose all my guns and i will have criminal charges. thats just how his family is.

response to above: I would like reimbursement i have thousands of dollars in my fuel system. industrial injection 120 hp injectors, dual cp3 with a new bottom pump (old was acting funny ), fass 150 gph with filtration, ts mp8 to raise raise pressure and ppe hot 2 et tune. great combo with nasty crap in fuel huh? I would also seek reimbursement for all the filtration purchased and fuel related tow and cab bills and fuel i spent towards other people responding to my 911 calls. i would also seek compensation for the individuals that dropped what they were doing such as childrens birthday parties or leaving their job and responded to my 911 calls. however proving it all will be tough as the boy that informed me of the bleach additive made mends with him again after a period disagreement. now he wont talk. as far a dick cheny is goes i wonder if he ever had to attend hunter safety or if he just bought his hunter safety cert. to obtain license:rolleyes:. But recently i have been keeping a loaded 30 round mag next to a firearm for home and dodge trucks protection:-laf

i am looking into purchasing another 870 for the sole use of non lethal devices. I plan to adopt law enforcement "code" to mark it. my planned 1st rd. will be bore thunder to stun and get cop happy neighbors and cop across street attention. if he will not come into compliance 2nd in line will be bean bag. I would have reached out to law enforcement a long time ago, but the majority of things that happen while i am gone are just so atypical of a burglar, thief, or vandilist that i feel it would be inconcievable to the local state police barrack. I am also looking for a house closer to family so i am away from home less.

back on topic I do have other means of transportation now. I am thinking of crating my head and fuel system and send to industrial injection to be inspected/ repair as neccessary. Should I have it looked at? How do i remove rust scaling inside my cylinder head in the fuel return circuit?

there are systems that will sense when someone walks to close to a vehicle.
they have a remote disarm. if you get within 4 feet of the vehicle the alarm sounds.

i like the way south african motorist defend their cars. "flame throwers". a system which stops all thieves and vandals. be sure to park away from buildings and flammable objects.

a ink/dye spraying system, would work to identify the culprit.

Get the infrared game camera and set it up. At least this gets you proof that you can work with. Then the police have to do something, or you get them too.

I have my local undertaker on speed dial.

No sir Mr. Police officer. Looks like he stole more chains than he could swim away with.

LOL, I don't care who you are, thats funny.

i know everyone wants to beat him up, but the fact is if you cause him/her any bodily harm, they could turn it around on you, if it was me, i would punch every one of his teeth right out of his skull.
