I recently modified the catch bottle on the front of my engine. It was removed and replace by a peice of hose that I ran down near the transmission. I have heard people caution about blowing seals in the motor, but what seals are they referring to? I have noticed more oil around my oil pan than in the past but I may be paranoid. Any thoughts?

the vacuum pump seal is the easiest to blow. if you extended the hose with anything 3/4" or above you should be fine. there are front and rear crank seals and the side covers for the tappets. each will blow but it takes a lot of pressure to do so.
