I know he had a big "honey-do" list and couldn't make SOP. He has been on-line and on-site this week. :)

Hello there guys! I could be there! That sounds good! :) You know, I guess it's like everything else... there never seems to be good time when everyone can get together. I just got over a BAD virus that hits you in the intestines and stomach! Yuck!!!! :p It totally ruined my Thanksgiving, but thankfully, after a visit to the E-R and 3 I-V bags, I'm back amongst the living. I hope no one else out there contracted that stuff!!! Maybe by then, I will be ready to eat again!

Let me know how many can attend please. :-laf

I am alive. And yes, Gerald, I also had that same virus. Between the wife and I, we were down for the count about 13 days. It was almost like the flu, without the fever and body aches.

Dec 9 is good for me. I am open to any location that will be the most convenient. I apologize for being out of touch. I didn't realize that this thread had started.

Oh lordy!!!

folks i have had what appears to be the virus of death. This i would only wish on an invading army. It started Thanksgiving morning @7am, been 4 days, fever101-102, chills, the only good part, no trotskies(thank goodness) mine was not the intestinal, i was checked for flu, came back negative but man talk about hurting.

I will check my schedule for dec. 9th i would like to attend if possible. since i have missed a few days of work i may have to work.

I'll be in Indy 12/8-12/10 for DhRA stuff. The following weekend should be OK, though.

FYI, I believe the Golden Corral where we et before has been razed. ... Yup. Just went down on my motorbike to verify. It's gone; not even a scrap of wood left. The Sun trust bank building is gone, too; seems they're putting in a parking deck there.

So where now do we meet? Jimmy V's on Apperson? Famous Anthony's on Main or Williamson? Some place down near Tanglewood where a bunch of us met up once before? New York Deli on Williamson? Some decent hole-in-the-wall in Galax? or Bedford?

I don't know if anyone has considered a wrenching party. My garage is not well stocked, and doesn't have a door tall enough for 4 wheel drives. However, I got this reply from James Philips over near the Giles/Pulaski/Montgomery line:

Roanoke works for me if that is where you want. I do have a place in Pearisburg, Affordable Trucks & Equipment shop. It would work great for a cookout. Plus all the tools and a lift if sombody wants to tinker. It is on 460 1 hr west of roanoke.

It seems like the 9th is not looking to be the best date.

That was Western Sizzlin' at Crossroads. Golden Corral is still there in front of Sam's Club.

Looks like I'm gonna miss this one :(

Sorry Ladies & Gentlemen,

Seems the weekend of the 16th is my only real weekend off this Dec. and have plans on celebrating Christmas early with my side of the family. That's how it works with a rotating shift schedule. Gotta work all plans around the job :( Hopefully something will pan out after the holidays and we all can get together again and have a wrenching party/cookout or a faxsimile thereof

Happy Holidays and God Bless

Phil & Marty Stuart
