Greetings, this is my first post to the board, although I have been lurking and trying my best to learn what I can. I have finally decided to bomb my recently purchased cummins, however I wanted to confirm my bombing order with some of the experienced folks here. Here is what I have come up with that seems reasonable for a first effort:
1. PowerEdge EZ (seemed to offer a little more than the VA with the same ease of use, that and I just purchased it 5 minutes ago)
2. Gauges... Boost and Exhaust + pillar mount, still debating over the trans temp.
My questions are as follows, with these simple upgrades am I putting my truck at any risk? I guess warrantee issues are not a problem since my truck recently crossed the 36k mark (or is it up to 100k on the cummins?), but I wanted to make sure I dont end up shelling out 3k for a new automatic transmition.
From what I have gathered, the EZ installation is well. . easy. but the gauges are probably not as cut and dry. Will a novice such as myself be able to do this? I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, but I dont want to break anything.
Finally, I have been toying around with the idea of a 4 inch exhaust and new injectors (when my wallet refills after this first upgrade at least) Will all these upgrades play nice with each other? Thanks for killing off a few of these really basic questions!
PS. Just got my first issue, I hope they are all as informative.
