What about these

A couple of turbos I ran into on a site recently I was looking for some opinions on. B1 Kwikspool,. . supposedly for up to425 rwhp and anyone running a HX-55 by J. R. Adkins hybrid. They say not the same HX-55 hybrid of the past by others but build from 5 individual turbos. It bolts to the Factory Exhaust Manifold and up to a HX40 4" standard downpipe and is internally wastegated. Anyone had personal experience or knowledge of these two??

ATS DIESEL

www.atsdiesel.com

ats does not offer much for details at the site - a call is in order

possiblly look in the forums at ats, maybe they talk about their new turbos there (i'm going there next to look)

the hx55 is at laredo diesel (as mentioned above) - probably spools like a pig?

www.laredodieselperformance.com

in the near future; a shootout would be nice to see of all the turbo offerings in the tdr rag - some useful info from the mag would be welcome

I found the site, thanks.

ATS is a company that sells diesel upgrades but not the actual Advanced Turbo Systems company, although they do sell the Advanced Turbo Systems manifold.

Whew.

Your right, there is no real info on the new aurora turbos listed. They do sell a 4" exhaust system for $835, with a claimed 32 HP gain though.

Hopefully I am not to pesimistic when I say... please prove that your 4" exhaust will gain me 32 HP. Man, I thought the Monster was expensive.

So far I find that the DD MB103 and the B-1 KwikSpool appear to be top notch. I am assuming the Kwikspool is the Piers KSB-1 Bomber, if not I would like to know which one it is? I think they are the same ones that have been available since January though.

I am just wanting to make sure that if I drop dime on one of these that there will not be a "new" ball bearing super turbo, with pulse something or another (/laf), out right after I purchase.

Advancements seem to be slow, which I will like if I buy now :).

And I'd go for the exhaust.

The new CP3 Bosch high pressure pump has no history of failure due to fuel starvation. It has an internal gear rotor fuel pump that keeps fuel going. It may not have enough fuel fed to it, causing performance dropoffs but it won't harm the pump unless you run it dry.

Just noticed in my Sept. Four Wheeler Mag... BD is advertising single and twin BALL BEARING turbos.

They claim "Extended tip compressor wheel designs" for quick clean end andtop end air flow. 75-225 horse boxes on the single.

For the twin setup they claim...

Super "B" 350-500 hp

FYI... I'm no turbo expert.

Echo that on the "NOT a Turbo expert"! But I can read and I saw an ad by ATS in an RV magazine and they too are advertising a ball bearing Turbo, fyi. Glad I waited.
