I saw his exhaust in person last week and it is very nice. It is identical to a Stan's exhaust (and that sound!) with a tailpipe section identical to Bully Dogs (long 12valve style). To me it's the best of both worlds... best 'big rig' sound, and a tailpipe that exits far enough back to keep soot off the truck.

I wished I had met Rip a month ago, I would have bought his instead of my DD exhaust (I'm very upset at DD's new tailpipe:mad: ).

Thanks Deezul1

This is an awesome opportunity for thr TDR Member's to get a

great 4" system at an affordable price.

This system is awesome :)

If I'd had waited too I would've gotten his system instead of buying 5" pieces to build my own system. I went with 5" since it was cheaper than any 4" system (until now). I guess I'll have to live with a big pipe :D . Rip is giving me a hand to put that bad boy in this weekend though at Rob's place so at least I'll be getting some expert assistance  .

What brand of mufflers does RIP use? Has anyone installed one of these? Also, does the price include the hangers too? I like the rear pipe (over the axle) design.

Looks like some competition for Jardine.

Charles

The standard muffler is the Allied.

But you can request Walker, Borla or Dynomax

Special requests too :D

All the different muffler combos will be on the dyno later this month

If anyone that is going to the Pendleton BOMB session this saturday 3/9/02 that is considering a 4" system, Rip said he will be taking two exhaust kits along with him.

I don't know how anybody can beat a deal like that!

Thanks, Bob Wagner.....

Talked with Rip this morning... . he's just leaving for Pendleton.

This is 14 ga. pipe..... the good stuff!!

While I don't need a system, I do know some guys who have been sitting on the fence, and I will be referring them to Rip. He's only about 60 miles from me.

Joe

Just emailed him on how long it would be till the price goes up. We'll see what he says.

I'm opting for the non-muffler system. Right now I have the Geno's Muffler Elim. kit and I'm wondering how loud this kit will be.

4" exguest

Great price, I would like to have one I can't wate to see how the dyno turn out. And then I will order me one . and a friend of mine said that he wounted one also .

Good price thanks.

Price isn't the greatest.........

$325 for the system + $50 for the hangars + shipping and your in the same price range as any of the other systems. If shipping is free your saving probably $50. Other than that it looks like a good quality system. If anyone goes this route please post performance and sound specs.

Thanks, Garrett

I see several posts (here and another thread) point out this is 14 ga. aluminized steel tubing. Does this mean some of the 4" exhaust systems are made with thinner tubing?

Bob; Thanks for starting the thread.

Mike; Thanks for the detailed review.

The NW BOMBERs are a class act group. One of the few reasons I regret leaving the Puget Sound area.
