Help, my boost gauge(Westach)started reading only 10lbs Psi WOT. Previously it was 26# at WOT. (I don't know how long its been low because I rarely look at the reading, and the truck was running fine with no noticable loss of power)
I have already done the following at the suggestion of our diesel mechanic with no luck:
Checked all the turbo hoses; ran the truck briefly without the hose over the intake of the Turbo to check for clogged filter; tightened all the clamps; checked for water in fuel; checked for pinching of turbo gauge hose from the gauge to the threaded 1/8"NPT in the head behind fuel filter.
I ran out of fuel and it died last week, but it ran fine after filling up, but I haven't changed my fuel filter.
EGT's at WOT are about the same as when it showed 26#PSI.

Sounds like you've eliminated everything except the gauge itself (or sender if electronic).

Good luck.

Get a different gauge and try it. There may not be anyting wrong with your truck, it may be a bad gauge.

If your EGT's are the same as before, then your boost gauge is bad. You'd really notice the performance difference if you lost 16psi.

Check the line from engine to gauge, I had that problem on '96 and traced to a hole rubbed in hose.

RobbyRam?

I know this is an old post, but my combo gauge just started doing the same thing. Truck seems to perform as usual, but max boost went from 30lbs to 10 lbs. Anyone know if RobbyRam had a bad gauge, and can they be sent in to be fixed? I have also PM'd RobbyRam.
Thanks.
