Is there a difference in boost PSI at the compressor outlet compared to the intake horn? I'm going to hookup a drive pressure gauge and would compare it too boost but would it be more accurate to measure boost at the compressor outlet?

Boost should be within 3PSI of each other between turbo outlet and intake plenum on head. These are the numbers Cummins allows. And if checking for intercooler leakage they say put 40PSI pressure and must not lose more than 5PSI in 15 seconds. Also if interested a maximum of 45F degrees above ambient temp going into intake of head. These values come from the "C" series Operation and Maintance Manual. I do believe however that these values should be standard for both families of engines. John.
