Boost limiter?

I was trying a 4 wheel drive launch today and boosted up to around 18 psi and before take off I have what feels like a rev limiter but I am not no where near red line. Is this some type of boost limiter? It only happens when around 18 pounds and not moving. So I am guessing this is normal for 01 trucks? Some fill me in what it is THANKS

i think you hit the stall point on your auto transmission.

it does sound like your at the stall speed. Hope you got the billet output shaft if your going to do this in the future. If you have the box on meltdown especially.
