I'm looking for some feedback form everyone on their average boost pressure at 55mph on the flats in 3rd gear (1:1). I also need the details of your setup as best you know.



1. Boost pressure

2. Load on truck (empty, towing, camper etc. )

3. Full power screw setting

4. AFC control cone setting (min, max, 1/2 turn, etc. ) If modified or after market breifly explain.

5. Smoke screw setting

6. Star wheel setting

7. Injectors

8. Turbo compressor (H1C, HX35 etc. )

9. Turbo exhaust housing (12, 14, 16, etc. )

10. Inter cooled (yes/ no)

11. D or W model

12. Exhaust (stock, aftermarket)

13. RPM @ 55

14. Transmision Type (Std or auto) If auto please specify if stock or upgraded

15. Air filter

16. Rear diff ratio

3. Full power screw setting - set on "kill" but this setting doesn't matter for light throttle usage

4. AFC control cone setting - original control cone set to deepest profile

5. Smoke screw setting - backed out all the way

6. Star wheel setting - up about 1 turn from bottom

7. Injectors - PODs

8. Turbo compressor - PDR HX35

9. Turbo exhaust housing - wastegated 14cm (too small)

10. Inter cooled - yes, Bank$ intercooler

11. W model

12. Exhaust - straight piped into twin 4" stacks

13. RPM @ 55 - about 2000

14. Transmision Type - DTT auto

15. Air filter - BHAF



A couple of other things to consider about my setup... .



16. 3. 54 gears

17. Max boost is 36psi with wastegate fully opened.

18. EGTs will get out of control on a long WOT run

19. I don't tow very often, but when I do, it's an 8k boat trailer

20. Everything else I forgot... :rolleyes: :D

Sean- I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with this. Depends on how much feedback I get. We talk a lot about WOT, max fueling, max boost etc. Thats all fine but thats not where I drive 99% of the time so I want to take a closer look at where I do drive.



I'm hoping to get enough information that all has a common denominator I can put into a spread sheet for comparison.



If I can come up with some extra AFC parts I'm going to make a mock-up to measure the AFC pin travel vs spring, spring preload setting and psi.



Depending on the out come possibly come up with a tuning chart or use the info to tailor a setup to a particular application or collect a lot of useless information about everyones truck just to humor me :D
